Five local founders welcomed the local startup community recently to celebrate entrepreneurship in Orange County.

The courtyard outside the Irvine offices of five affiliated startup companies was the scene for a friendly startup ecosystem Happy Hour crowd last week. 

The event was hosted by five local company founders: John Shen (American Lending Center), John Keisler (Sunstone Management), Dan Wheeler (Sunstone Trust Company), Adam Carrillo (Partake Collective) and Edmond Wong (TrustCard). 

Irvine Mayor Farrah Khan was a Special Guest. She presented Certificates of Recognition to the Five Founders and her warm words of welcome included “We need to make sure that we are working to keep those entrepreneurial folks here in Irvine, because together we can do amazing things. With that I just want to say welcome to Irvine. We are so happy that you are here.” 

Each of the featured founder hosts also spoke to the audience briefly to outline their ventures, and thank everyone for coming. 

A full crowd of software, hardware, life sciences, and fintech entrepreneurs and investors appreciated the good food, good drinks, and good music under a beautifully sunny southern California sky - especially as the pandemic continues to recede.
